Chris Bacon is dead. Long live Chrisander Baccioni?
Unable to walk or talk after a hit and run attack, Chris finds himself on the other side of the world with Jase in babysitting mode. Pity and betrayal, even if it was for 'his own good' wasn't something Chris tolerated from anyone, least of all from an ex-lover who was hanging around only out of a misguided sense of duty.
The barely breathing battered boy Kathleen Baccioni found in London clearly hadn't made an intelligent decision in his life, just like his dead mother. This was a chance to wipe the past away; to write a new chapter in the Baccioni dynasty. Chrisander was young enough to be guided and moulded into a shining public example of a modern business man, loving husband and father. It didn't matter if he was a mess in public, her protégé Stephanie would be running the company and their family anyway. The only fly in the ointment was Chrisander's annoyingly protective boyfriend Jason Rosewood, but a twenty something, dirt poor, ex-army sergeant couldn't possibly be a match for the owner of an international business empire, could he?

Emma Note: This one split a lot of readers, some wanted Chris to dump Jase, others wanted Jase to dump Chris. I'd love to know what you think. Let me know.
Chris note: So I made a mistake. Sheesh. I never claimed to be perfect. Fun, yes, perfect not on your nelly.

I truly don’t know what to say. The emotional rollercoaster this book took me on blows me away. I loved getting to know more about Chris and his estranged family. Seeing Jase be so protective truly made me love him more.

I really, really wanted to strangle Chris, or maybe the author during some of the scenes. I love when the story is so consuming and you just want to scream at the words on the page and force them to see what the reader does. That is great story telling, and shows how well Emma Jaye can create that connection between the characters and readers. If you liked book one, get this book. The continuation of the story is fantastic and gripping.

And even though there is a lot to keep us interested, it's really the hot/cold, on/off, relationship of Chris and Jase that kept me turning pages. I couldn't wait to see what came next with them and all I can say is that the ending had me smiling, sighing and thirsty for more.
Emma Jaye is one of my favorite writers and if you haven't picked up this series (or any of her other) do it! If you're a fan of witty, fun writing, steamy sex scenes (MM in this book) and rich, deep stories, then you'll be happy you did!

Emma Jaye has blown me to high heaven and back with this series.when reading it I find my emotions running rampant. I am all over the place emotionally. I am either laughing at Chris and the things he either gets up too or the trouble he undoubtedly finds himself in because he can not seem to hold himself back.
